The Wairarapa Railway Modellers Inc, formed in 1981, have since 1994 had their own clubrooms and meet on the 1^st and 3^rd Thursday of each month. 

The Club has a permanent layout suitable for running 4mm British, HO American and Continental and Sn3½ NZR locomotives and rolling stock on a track gauge of 16.5mm.
A sectional 16.5mm gauge layout has been constructed for exhibition purposes and is also set up in the clubrooms for operation using Digitrax DCC.
An N Gauge sectional layout is being constructed for exhibition and club running.
Current members have interests in all scales from N to G, covering American, British, Continental and NZR prototypes.
